I just was given a 1987 xj.
The previous owner replaced the NP 231 transfer case but was not able
to get the FWD shifter linkage hooked back up. I cant tell what wrong
but everything seem backwards.
The shifter is marked 2wd, Hi Lock,4wd, N, Lo Lock.
The case is in 2wd and the lever on the side of the case is pointing
forward.
I think I need a picture of the linkage.
I think somethings on upside down.
