Hi all, due to an arm injury, I’m having to sell my S3 2.3d 109 1979, V5 in my name, recently registered as a Historic Vehicle.

A lot has been done to it in the time I’ve owned it, I was restoring it to use as a daily driver hence all the new parts;

New rear cross member, New outriggers all round,

New complete exhaust system

New Automec full copper brake pipe set, master cylinder, new brake cylinders/shoes/springs all round

New footwell both sides

New brake, indicator, reversing & side lights

Chequer Ali’ foot plates, sill plates, & rear door plate (still have original sills & foot plates)

New Bearmach rear large fuel tank, & new fuel hoses.

New modern plugs & leads

New shock absorbers/spring bushes all round

New front leaf springs

New seat belts

Has good tyres & steel wheels all round

Engine/Gearbox/ front axle oil/ oil filter changed last month, 7 core marine grade wiring to back lights etc, Modern Ali’ radiator cover (still have original grill)

It’s being sold as an unfinished project, starts first time & runs ok.

Needs few bits done to finish it’s resto;

brakes need bleeding/setting, small hole in front chassis leg front plate, fuel sender isn’t connected to fuel gauge, speedo not working, body paint has been rubbed down & acid etch primed, then flashed over by me (fine for what I wanted but up to you if you want to repaint body & roof ), reversing light wiring needed, door frame rubber seal holders, seat covers.

I’ve been given an estimated sale price from 5 sources, considering the new parts fitted & age, price reduced so would be looking now at £3600 but open to sensible offers, no tyre kickers or dreamers please. ( was £4000)

I’m near Holbeach, Spalding, Lincolnshire. I do know someone with a car trailer who could deliver the Landy for a fee, I can ask for a rough delivery price, but this would be between you & him.

TBH that seems fair price from description.

What would it actually need to get it road worthy? MOT even though not needed would surely boost the price a bit.

Good luck and its a shame to have to sell due to a health issue.
Fix yourself, then finish and enjoy?

think the brakes bleeding/ setting up, & the speedo would be needed for mot, i'm no pro' mechanic tho :) .
Arm & other injuries means I can't do the work myself.
thanks for the confirmation on price & good wishes.

I am by no means an expert on price, It just seems a fair price (starting).
Yes an injury is a bugger and takes longer to heal.
I would say get rid of the silver BMW? in the back ground and get it sorted, but I am sure there are reasons not too 🤔.

That's mum's bmw, no way she'd sell it

Sorry for not being on here for a while, my mum passed away just before Christmas & I lost it a bit, everything just stopped.
If anyone is interested in my landy please message me. Price is (£4000) now £3700 but open to offers.
Uk buyers only please, no offence meant to overseas buyers.

Sorry to hear that Herby. Likewise, mine died in November, the amount of time it eats up is unbelievable.

Also sorry, but not in the market for any Land Rovers. I would say that about 4k is achievable for that 109 though.
Give it a few months, and you are likely to get more interest, sales of everything tend to be subdued for a bit after Christmas.

Its a lovely looking Landy and I think a fair starting price. Best of luck.

After a local timewaster kept me waiting nearly a month & then deciding he'd rather have a shiny defender off ebay,
my landy's back up for sale.
Reduced to £3600, but reasonable offers welcome.
