Hey folks,
Im having some starting/timing issues and I believe I'm out a tooth (see other thread where I replaced cylinder head).
Attached is a pic of the cam timing slot when the crank is pinned. As you can see it's achingly close.
So far I have:
1. Removed rocker cover
2. Removed fan
3. Hand cranked engine 180 -> 360 degrees until cam is TDC and crank can be pinned
4. Pinned crank
5. Removed alternator vacuum hose (to get access to tensioner bolt)
6. Removed tensioner bolt
7. Loosened off injectors (read elsewhere that it makes rotating cam easier)
8. Removed 3 cam sprocket bolts
What I can't figure out is how to now rotate the cam so that I can pin it and reverse my steps.
I saw another post saying I should fit the sprocket bolts and use those, however the sprocket and chain prevent access.
Any help would appreciated.
Cheers!
