Anyone have any advice as to the pro's and con's for the above?

I've managed to persuade the Doris we should get newer 110 (puma) but cant make my mind up between the CSW and double cab pick up.

I like the CSW because it has more seats etc etc but the pick up also appeals for the reason of chuckin stuff in the back. Will be used as family wagon 2 kids, bikes, buggies, boat stuff, beach stuff, desert trips, bla bla.

so - who prefers what and why ???

bigger problem will be parting with my much loved current Td5 110..... so last question can anyone give me tips on better Doris management so I can keep both :cool:
 
I find bare faced lies work. "no dear thats not new landy parts, my friend gave them to me"!

Might be a bit hard with a whole land rover though! :D

Get her a job and if that is not enough find a second job for her, Also show her who the boss is ,you wear pants or a skirt
 
I have a csw and have fitted a dog guard to section the rear off. It offers more security and keeps the bits and bobs dry. If I wip the front wheels off the bikes they fit in the back, otherwise I use a bike rack.

Had a go in a puma at work and thought it was brilliant.
 
I loikes pick-ups myself, great for the dirty loads like logs and coal etc. Only you can decide really.
You could always get the CSW and a trailer. :blabla:
 
I love my Puma 110 XS Utility Wagon.
You can't get 8ft lengths of timber in a Double Cab. Neither can you fit a decent roof rack.
They're also classed as vans at most tips, whereas the UW is a car.

unless you get some jobsworth who then decides that an estate car is a van too. I ended up having to get a permit for the tip after some knob end worker refused to let me dump my roofing waste there. I've never needed it since.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
Depends on what you want it for. The CSW has a better load capacity, more seats for when you need them, and a more secure load area, so you can park it up with stuff in the back, and not worry about quite so much. The advantages of the pick up are that it is easier to load bulky stuff in the back without having to squeeze it through the door, and you can keep dirty/smelly stuff out of the landy and passenger compartment.
 
CSW then if the dorris kicks you out for buying more stuff for it at least you can sleep in the back :D:rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
Had to make the very same decision last month; wife gave the green light to either a 110CSW or pick up. As much as I loved the look of the pick up I opted for a CSW with a Brownchurch roof rack - more seats and load capacity.

For me it was a no brainer.

The SW does everything the DC does, and more. I would never be able to leave anything in the pick up bed without it being locked down or have a locked cover fitted. The extra seats come in handy for trips to football matches; daughter's birthday trips and camping. The rest of the time they just fold away and you have a secure, covered loadspace.
