Hi all
I know this sounds like a knob question and even though I have a Haynes manual and rave I still want to make sure that I get this right. The question is how many engine mounts are there on a 1.8 2003 Freelander, are they easy to replace and are they expensive.

There are 2 actual mounts. 1 on the box and 1 on the cam belt end of the engine. There is also a tie bar on the sump which stops the engine rocking. The tie bar bush often fails. Mine has been replaced with polyurethane for durability.

Hi all
Thanks for all your help, will have to get out the ramps and check the tie bar on the sump as I think a engine mount may have failed.
