whenever i go over a bump at 10+mph i have a knocking coming from the back of the disco any ideas ??

no nothing heavy just standard series 1 disco

on mine it turned out to be the rear door , i adjusted it inwards and also the brass wedge(not sure of the proper name) that sorted it out, i dare say TMHM & Sean are right but always worth a check.

Yep, rear door. Also check spare wheel bolts are tight.

To be honest how the feck can anyone give a reasonable answer? "a knocking" ... wtf sort of knocking? Could be any bushing, damper mounts, spring mounts, A-Frame (most likely) doors, rear seats, wheels, wheel bearings, diff, UJ's, trailing arms, broke mount on fuel tank, broken tow-bar mount, kids in back with a 'ammer .. could be anything and everything that moves ...
