My Nanocom unit is always telling me that the EGR valve is stuck closed. As the EGR is blanked off at the manifold, do i need to worry about this?

No. When you get shot of the EGR you also block the actuator pipe off which is where the false signal is coming from.

Will this upset the ECU? when you refer to the actuator pie, which bit is it?! all i fitted was a plate that blocked the supply pipe from the mainifold (kit off ebay)

i have removed the egr and blanked off the pipe but still get the egr stuck closed thing i was going to reconect the egr valve to the pipe and just fix it in the engine bay out of the way

You need to blank the small vacuum pipe that went from this solonoid to the egr unit itself.
