It has be voiced on here that it could possibly work. Phill said he didnt know but was a maybe, and you heard it from a friend that said a friend did something similar

As it happens I am retired and find that when its hot outside when working, I come and see if I can help. You can see I am under UK retirement age. and certainly dont live in a country that would provide a living sitting on my arse.
So your assumptions are false, for me, and many others here.
You may think you are clever in taking the **** and laughing at us here. but you need to be mindfull that many here frequent many sites for LRs. Your attitude will not go unnoticed on other forums.
As much as some are serious and LZ is a bit more laid back with a bit of humour, there is still a huge knowledge base here, and certainly a growing L322 community knowledge.
So I wish you well. As I feel you have given no proof whats so ever of your mechanical knowledge, as you havent answered any technical question that could help you/others to maybe help or confirm the original question, you just came all out and took people the wrong way. As all you have is problems. some of which could be easy sorted with a little bit of investigation and mechanical knowledge, or a polite question on here, without the your "attack" of a light hearted response.
So all I can say is its your loss of information and you wont need to post here for us to find out, if you did it and if it worked.

Any new questions will be attacked for being stupid even when it is not.
So I will not waste my time asking any new questions here, but I still have access to all of the previous knowledge on here.
I was not making an assumption about anyone here, I was responding to a ridiculous insult directed at me.
99% of what I have posted here is just responding to direct personal attacks.
Please understand this fact, that the only reason this discussion has continued this long is because of the number of people that continue to attack me personally with stupid irrelevant comments.
Like someone saying that because I work for myself I must be difficult to get along with.
In my work I have clients that I have had for more than 25 years because they appreciate my honesty and intelligence.
I save them money by telling them when they are being stupid and when I am then proven right they realize that I am helping them.
This is what builds a lasting client relationship.
But someone here wanted to insult me personally about my job so I responded.
I only respond because people are coming here continuing to talk crap trying to sound smart when they are not.
If it helps you, I already have the answer to my question and I am not here any more to discuss that and never will.
Just so you are clear, I will never talk about the technical question that I asked here again.
So while you might think you are helping me by discussing things that I already know, I have no interest in that.
I already did a visual inspection of both differentials on the website gentlemen of salvage who have multiple photos of each differential from different angles.
I already explained here that I had done that.
They look identical and also Blob said that the part numbers are identical.
That is enough for me to invest in the idea if there are no obvious technical reasons why it will definitely not work.
No one has given me a definite reason why it would not work, they have only given me ridiculous extreme conjecture about things that would not happen within the working range of my engine and gearbox.
I have responded to each of these conjectures with facts and I have been attacked for doing so, for not listening to their completely ridiculous conjectures.
This is where the problem started, people said ridiculous things and I didn't accept them, and I responded with facts.
For example my gearbox will not go into fifth gear, except I can just manually put it into fifth gear, and I will be going at 20 mph beyond the speed where it automatically changes into fifth gear without being told to do that.
These facts mean that the fear that it won't go into fifth gear is completely ridiculous.
But when I explained this to people they kept coming back telling me that I wasn't listening to the help that I was getting here from the knowledgeable people with more mechanical understanding than me.
If those people had just said, "you are right" then this would've been a one page thread, but instead they got really upset with me.
So here we are heading towards 400 comments because they could not handle the situation where I had facts to dispute their hysterical conjectures based on nothing.
Because of this ridiculous situation I gave up giving facts here about my car a long time ago and now I just respond to gotcha questions and direct personal insults.
