The tyres are fine mikie, we’re not talking perishes and cracked tyres here, my friend runs the same on his restoration he managed a full set he has another full set for his 2nd RRC resto. What is more interesting he works in a lab for Dunlop, so he certainly knows plenty about rubber, he said manufacturers will tell you tyres are best changed after a time to save their ass and sell more tyres but rubber has an incredible life span. Rubber roofing is the latest for flat roofs it’s only couple mm thick and is guaranteed for 30 years it will however last much longer . The same suspects will say the same about remoulds which I must add there is nothing wrong with otherwise they wouldn’t use them on lorries, buses jumbo jets etc etc. At best I think some are ill informed and quick to believe everything they hear. You’ll find no legislation on tyre age only tyre condition what does that tell you ?
