We are going to buy a Land Rover Defender 110 XS. What kind of paint on the bodywork should we go for?

We can either have a 'flat' colour or a metallic finish. Which is best in your opinion...or does it not matter?

Also, we have been offered a couple of 'care' packages and very expensive they are. For the Vehicle Protection Programme (a spray that protects the interior and exterior) is £349.00 and Minor Repair Protection (fix chips in the paintwork) is £399.00.

Are these covers really worth the cost?

Santorini Black.
And those "care" packages are a complete waste of time and money, but a nice little earner for the dealer.

Hi ESM, Go for Gun Metal Grey. A very smart, eye catchin colour. Getting mine resprayed this next year. Its a genuine Landy colour:D

Hmmmm...yes I quite fancy the Gun Metal Grey.

Your Landy looks fab in the black as well Trewey.

Mind you, I love all the colours, except for white.

im parshall to the burnt orange - but would probably go for grey/black/green for a utilitarian vehicle - stands out less when your in the trees

Stop putting 'xxx' at the end of your messages...either you are a bender or you've got tits like jelly tots.

I don't put xxx, I put xx and if you don't like it, then don't read my posts. Problem solved. :)

I am not a bender... or a sex god... and I really don't know why xx means I have tits like jelly tots either. Maybe that says more about you than me. :p

Cue questions about the little gearstick and why I heard a grinding noise followed by a bang and now my car won't drive... ;)
