Hi all, first post and looking for advice. I've always wanted a series and am in the position for the first time where I can seriously look.
The problem is I don't really have a clue as to what they are worth. Obviously it will depend on condition. I've seen a 88" 1964 2a on eBay, not too far from me. It the 2.25 petrol with fairy overdrive, hard and sort top, MOT till Sept, she loses oil and from the answers I have been given will require welding for the next MOT. The guys looking for 1250. Does this seem reasonable.
Also is there anything major I should look for when I go to see it?
I've a budget of around 1500 to 2000, shall I continue to look round or will this not be enough for a decentish specimen.
Cheers all, sorry about joining up and then bombarding you all with what are no doubt rookie questions.

Sounds like a dog.

They all leak oil so forget about that..

The most important things are chassis and bulkhead...get them as rot free as poss and you'll be ok...everything else falls off/can be replaced easily.

Get someone local who knows landys to go with you...best beer money you will ever spend..where are you?

Are you in the tunnel cos there's an echo..

£2000 should get you a good series...£1000 a dog that walks....£500 a project on bricks...

The echo is due to my ridiculous internet connection. I really appreciate the help here guys. Where should I be looking as I don't really think eBay is the best place.

Nowt wrong with ebay if you ask right questions or even better get to see motor...or get someone to look for you.

How old are you? Are you aware of insurance costs?

Cheers guys, really appreciate your time looking. I'm a Midlander by birth so Wales might not be toobad if I tie in a family visit.fyi, the 64 at the bottom of goonarmys list is the one I mentioned in the original post.
