Hi, Sorry to bother you guys but I need some help. My wife has come into possession of a Land Rover chassis and 'bits' due to the untimely death of her brother last year. He was in the Fire Service and due to retire this year, when he was going...

Have you got any mechanical knowledge at all? An MoT tester saying a diff is rusty just sounds like a poor dodgy MoT tester tbh. The ratio change you are proposing is HUGE, have you bothered to use a gearing calculator to see what the actual...

When you say "it drops to entry height", do you mean it stays up overnight, and then drops to Access or Standard when you start the car ? If so it's not a valve block issue.

Go to main forum list, and start there. The LZIR thread has a link to the map.

At that price you don't know if the diffs are for sale because they are old & noisy, or how they have been treated.

What can I say , they are addictive to drive. Just to rub salt in the wounds , I have no lights on the dashboard. ( And no I haven't removed the bulbs)

Nevermind, just got of the phone with Auto Sparks, the RHD harness is overall shorter. So I just ordered the last LHD drive one they had. My credit card hates me, the credit card company loves me.

I'm a little ashamed to admit I did a similar fix to my 2004 Freelander EV. You can buy kits for this off Amazon, screw in the button base and pop on the cover, then repeat 40 more times.

I cannot seem to find this section of the website but I appreciate you suggesting it.

I'm not going to waste time answering your questions when you can look it up yourself if it actually matters to you. You can just Google L322 diff ratios or look for a second hand L322 diff with the ratios that I have mentioned and see that they...

Follow up question, could someone be so kind and share photo of a RHD dashboard and steering column? Because if washer, indicator, light and so on switches are mirrored as well, a RHD harness won't cut it. Instruments would require some...

It's a landy! Since when have they supposed to have been civilised? I suppose the middle row interior door handles would look a little strange without a door card.

For sure, I am really bad at electrical, well, things. I can read parts catalogues so. Hence, while I wait for feed-back from Auto Sparks and some other people doing nuts and bolts restaurations, I dug into my RRC parts catalogue. What I...

I ran britpart poly on my panrod for a while, when they fail you know about it instantly, and being poly they are only about 10 min to swap over so I was not too worried about fitting them. They lasted me a couple of year a set with the mileage I...

The SC has an 8 speed gearbox. I think the 2.76 diffs are from a diesel L322. The oil was dark when I changed it but I have no reason to suspect that the internal diffs are not OK. But on my latest MOT they noted the rust on the diffs as a...

You are not the first person to suggest that. I am happy not to have door cards but passengers and the wife, who are used to modern plastic cars, seem to think that is rather uncivilised.

I am not the first person to modify a Range Rover to better suit their specific needs. In fact Range Rover changed from a five speed gearbox to a six speed gearbox to an eight speed gearbox. I don't see any problem with improving something...

Are britpart making chrome wones again now? There was a time where they only did the teflon ones, although they are reasonable and I have had no problems with them on my 110.

Thanks for the replies. Went to an aircon specialist. Understandably they are very busy atm but he recycled the gas and checked for vacuum. System had the right amount of gas and the pressure seems good. High and low pressure are hot and cold...

Clearly you are the first person in history to use a Range Rover for a long journey. You should share your idea so that other people can now use such vehicles without worry too.....

Don't forget it checks it's own height over the time it is locked. If your parked on anything other than level ground it'll always try to even itself out. 👍
