Okay we have the basics in place, but ideas for what you would like to see at event or what you can offer to a charity event.

I'd like to see a best vehicle at show, we have a disco in evening- but some entertainment, face painting for children etc would be good.

Final choices made by accy/roy

Best shed (as in shed of a landy, not an actual wooden shed. Though if someone brought their garden shed they would win outright).

Unfortunately I cant be there. Probably for the best as I'd win :D

Most loved and unloved land rover?

Most livestock in a landy. (Pigs, nig and young woolyback yella belly's (Td5power) ovine concubines excluded) :D

I'm down to a wing mirror spider and some woodlice living of the conifer clippings under the false floor.

Cake, tea and hog roast will be available.
Bouncy castle would need st johns and more risk assessments
I wondered if anyone had display items?
Birds of prey display?

When numbers are known fair ground rides for kids are planned (tea cups etc)

Rolling road? Don't think I've heard one mentioned on here though...

autojumble!

bring along yer old tat, sell it and buy some more.

20% of all sales to the charity.

I think that wiuld be difficult to STOP from happening :D but yes it could do with some encouragement perhaps.

Well worth a thread in LZCS anorl I reckon just cause it'd be silly not to

what you mean? I'm not going anywhere? WTF is risk assessment for a bouncy thing for kids??

Point is that you can't just pitch up ...if you are organising something then it has to come with some health and safety risk assessments and liability cover....otherwise as individuals and as roy and accy as a company could leave ourselves open to being sued.

I can see a blanket liability insurance policy for the weekend, for x million quid.

I mentally risk assess things for my scouts. Have never written one down. Never will. Was once told by a sage old scout leader they ain't worth the paper as you can guarantee what happens won't have been written about anyhow.

We'd never have any fires or stream shenanigans if we RA'd everything we do as a group as we go to many different places within our area.

I mean, imagine the RA for a fire lighting sesh on the banks of the River Taff with the lads scavenging the burny stuff from the banks in the weeks after high water like now for example!! Yet we still do it and the lads love it and they and parents know the risks.
