Discovery 2 WTB: Discovery 2 for overland build

I’m looking for a suitable base vehicle for a project that will be used for overlanding.

Doesn’t have to be perfect, but very good to excellent condition is a must. Must be manual. Bonus points if it’s silver!

I’m looking at a couple at dealers at the moment, but would prefer to buy from an enthusiast.

Cash ready, and ready to pay for the right vehicle.

I’m okay with travelling substantially to the vehicle too, but logistically that might be difficult to arrange, with mine and my wife’s businesses, so the nearer to Royston/Cambridge, the better.

What is out there?

Hi Martin, did you find one in the end? I am selling my well loved silver 2001 TD5 ES manual. I haven't advertised it here on the forum as I don't have enough posts yet (unlike my first D2 this one has been reliable so I haven't needed much help with it). No worries if not or if you are looking for a more base spec, but if you're still on the hunt let me know and I can give you the details.
