I have been looking for a soft wrap around bull bar (think the part number is STC50020) which will fit my 2001 disco.

Has anyone A - seen one for sale B - got one for sale?

Any suggestions welcome! I'm new to the forum and also to land rover ownership, so looking forward to tapping into the pool of knowledge here!

Been tryin to get one of these myself for a while now. Land Rover have them for around £280. But will only sell you one, if you can prove one was fitted when sold new. They are very rare as second hand. Good luck, but I hope I get to any for sale before you do...;):p

Good luck, I crashed mine and neither me nor the repairers could find one anywhere.

Thankfully mine got bent back into shape and looks perfect, considering I hit a stationary transit at 50 :D

Think I might start fabricating my own. There certainly seems to be a niche in the market!

There are plenty in the states it would appear but they're hell of an expensive.

The search goes on.

Might surprise you. I sourced a Stainless A bar in USA, OEM part, and it worked out bout the same as LR over here's price. That included the shipping. Decided against it in the long run tho.

I think patience is going to have to be the key here. I have only had my disco for around a fortnight so happy not to make any silly (expensive) decisions.

Was just hoping to spend the money I managed to haggle off when buying actually on the disco. Rather than fritter it away over time.

I foresee many hours spent trawling t'interweb for the right part at the right price.

Sadly no photos of it pre fix, only one I have is showing the crack left after the repair, and attached a pic of it after it was fixed.

Hit a royal mail transit, I thought he was slowing with traffic miles ahead, turns out he was going into a tiny drive across the road, paying attention fail

The crack is the only damage left, so I'm happy with that. The monkeys at Longleat however bit and ate 4 chunks out of the main a frame part  Photos to follow!

The soft bar saved the rest of the car really, head on into the back of a transit I was doing 50+ with barely a chance to brake. Ended up with a cracked headlight, cracked grille, and the bent soft bar. Drove away no problem. Without it, I reckon probably a write off!

Oh and literally not a mark on the transit, just punted him a few metres :D

I have noticed a few like the one Tarantula has on his for sale on ebay at the moment.

Have I got the wrong part number? As the one I am looking for is for my 2001 model and doesn't dip as much where the light guard/surrounds meet the a bar (along the top of the whole bar).

I have just bought a brand new Nudge Bar from eBay (Item number: 180957616108), genuine LR one, for £125 delivered. It only covers the central section so no headlamp protection.

Fitted it this morning in under 2hrs, didnt even have to take bumper off to fit it (although instructions say you do).

is yours a facelift model?

No its a standard 1999 TD5 but the bar fitted fine. No mods needed apart from cutting small hole klow down in rhs of bumper so bar can bolt to frame and chassis point. LHS goes through tow hook hatch so no cutting needed there.
