Would I be right in assuming.....

That this is a Series 2a? It's one of those "a friend asked me to take a look at some pictures", I haven't seen it in the flesh/aluminium/rust yet, the only things I do know is it's a J suffix registration and someone my friend knows may be selling it as a project. I'm waiting for more information from her on how much of a project before it goes up for sale. I know a couple of pics are pretty useless but any thoughts on it?

Looks like a late series 2a with the maltese cross grille. If it has instruments in the center of the bulkhead then nits a series 2a but if the instruments are in front of the steering wheel its a series 3. the windscreen hinges and the door hinges are also series 2a
