Hey everyone

Will a set of Wolf Rims go straight onto my series 3 88"? or will i need to get longer studs? plus anyone know where i could get some for under $240 in australia? and what r the main differences between defender rims and wolf rims?

wolf rims are made of a thicker material - so a lot stronger, be careful as most are for tubed type tyres as there is no sealing ring for tubeless tyres. They also have a bit more offset. They are ideal for expedition / outback work as you can easily take a tyre off the rim to change the tube and it does not take as much pressure to reseat the tyre once tube is changed - hence the reason why military use them (strength also).

.....although the military are now starting to fit Blindo alloys instead of the wolf rims on the WMIK variants as they are even stronger than the wolf rims! The Blindo's are good looking wheels, but way too modern for a series truck!

I've fitted Snatch land Rover rims on my Series, 6.5j x 16. They look the same as normal Series steels, but they're tubeless, plus wider.

If you fit Wolf rims you might need longer studs as the metal is thicker.
