wiring

having now wired in the 2 digital volt meters that will monitor my batterys ive hit a snag,i have wired them via a seperate relay for each one and to a switched ignition feed,or so i thought i used the thick brown wire that i think used to power the stereo which i have now moved to the cubby box,this wire turned out to be a non switched live source,anyone know which ignition switched source i can safely use to switch the relays on with the ignition or is it just a case of testing all the wires that are where the stereo was and seeing which is switched
