Wiring Work Lights

Hi,

I've installed two small work lights on the back of my landy.

At the moment they are wired to come on with the reserve light which works great with reversing at night etc.

But id also like to be able to switch them on via an existing dashboard switch as well, so i dont have to leave it in reverse while i'm working round the back of the landy!

Whats the best way to wire them up for this?

Wire them up via a relay. The switch on the dash would supply a low current to the relay. The relay switches, and allows current direct from battery to work lights.

Is it legal to have the work lights come on when you slect reverse?

I sometimes use mine when boy racers blind me with fog lights!

in not sure on the legality of having them on when in reverse, just a simple fused relay to a switch on the dash is better
