Hi I have recently had heated windscreen and seats I also have spotlights back and front on my defender all go direct to the batter with in line fuses and relays but I would like the pice of mind that when the ignition is switched off I will not get a flat battery I was thinking of getting a fuse box and tidying up the wiring and taking a positive feed to it where is best and closest to my battery box ?

Take a new line from the battery through a relay triggered by a switched live. Take the out to a fuse box and plumb in from there. Ensure that you use an appropriate rated wire and relay.

I take it an appropriate relay and wire would need to cope with all of them on at once rather than just the same size as largest accessory ? (200amp relay + fuse box with bus bar and heavy wire ). ?

Take the feed to your accessory switches from an ignition switched live and leave the other wiring as is. Then when you kill the ignition all power to any accessory relays will be lost so they cant be on unless the ignition is on. Simples.
