Hi, I've just bought a trailer and need to wire up the connection so that the lights work and wondered if anyone could point me in the easiest direction as to where to connect the female wiring to the car. I have a female connector but am not too sure where is best to break into the existing wiring.
Cheers Chris:doh:

Chris, what age is your Defender?

The reason I ask is because later vehicles have a dedicated 'trailer pickup' connector in the rear loom, whereas earlier vehicles don't.

On earlier vehicles the trailer connection (for both N/S and O/S lights) is made behind the N/S rear lamp cover, using Lucas 4.7mm Bullet connectors (sometimes called 'Snap' connectors), like these -

Thanks for your help fellas, all wired up and ready to go. Turns out the connection point was under the wheel arch of the drivers side rear wheel. Snipped it off and connected it up. All good.
