Series 2 Wing mirror position.

Can anyone help me find the exact position for the original style of wing mirrors?
Our 2a has had a set of defender style mirrors bodged on the door tops, looking for some photos or measurements to help me place the new ones. Cheers!
 
Why bother they vibrate so much on the wing you will not be able to see much.
If it originally had wing mirror fitted look underneath you should be able to see the filler they used to cover the holes.
 
Have you got these brackets on the windscreen/door tops?

If you run a lump hammer up and down the wing giving it a good thrashing the filler should fall out. :D

From the front seam it’s eight and one eighth inch and from the side seam it’s two and five eighths inch.
 
As above try and sort out a defender type set up, wing mounted ones are really useless and a pain to adjust
 
My friends series has a metal bracket that bolts between the hinge and the bulkhead (using the hinge bolts) that you can then mount a later-series/defender style mirror to. I don't have any pictures of it but it does not look homemade.
