Disco 2 Windscreen seal damaged

So looking for some advice with my new landy. I’m going through the ruff parts on the vehicle and wanted some advice on the windscreen.

The rubber window seal at the corners seems to have aged or missed corner joints. Any ideas what’s happened and if it’s a leak risk that needs fixing ASAP?.

if you look at the pics the body looks a little corroded but it’s not to bad, I’m more worried about water getting. Is it just a trim piece that goes over a bonded windscreen?.

So think I may have been premature with the thread as I found another thread on here which addresses the issues
