hi

my windscreen is leaking on the top. it leaks behind the rear view mirror on the top. i thought i could fix it by applying silicone sealant.
i am bit reluctant to remove the trim from outside.. can i just pull it out and apply the sealant and let it dry and refix it?

thanks

Not sure if it had a replacement screen as i am the second owner.
i checked the aerial base by pulling out the lamp and its base, i cant see the water running through inside.. i can see the water dripping exactly at the seal inside.

my radio has gone cranky on its volume control because of the water keeps dripping on the central console whenever it is raining..

It is possible to seal the screen. But simply squirting silicone under the seal is unlikely to work effectively.
The best thing to do is remove the trim. Clean the area below the trim thoroughly. Then apply a bead of silicone along the whole top of the screen. Once sealed, refit the trim.
