Right I have a 2004 Range Rover hse and the two front windows go down on there own I took of the door card and when I press the up button the window sill wants to go down. Any help would be greatly appreciated

sounds like your switch pack could be giving jip buddy.. Ive not had to go there yet so I cant advise on how to strip that down. There will be a techno Wizard who will pick you up on this. Be patient matey! Help is on the way!!

Dont think the switch pack can be repaired, even Wammers had to replace his from memory,so if he cannot.... bet he's stripped down the old one though to see how it functions, ready for next time. Hang on , didn't Martyuk have ago at fixing them.

I stripped it down there was some corrosion on the connection cables I cleaned it but nothing burnt or anything else to say faulty

Yep, @martyuk does repair switchpacks on an exchange basis as far as I remember. He works away a lot so might not reply immediately but he will as soon as he sees it.

I do switchpacks, yes... but only for P38's...

If you've got a L322 (as 2004 suggests) then I'm probably not a lot of help sorry! I haven't had a L322 one in front of me before to see if they are repairable or not, but if triggering one input makes it do something completely different then unless there's corrosion on the board which is effectively connecting a different switch to s different input, then changes are it's something more complex!

Well spotted, didn't realise it was l322, just saw someone mention wammers so assumed p38.
Like you say, it does seem like something else is going on.
Might be worth a post in rangerovers.net or FFRR as they seem to have more l322 owners onboard

I'd like to think the newer ones are fixable - but I keep too busy with P38 bits and pieces that never seem to have the time to even contemplate looking at something newer!! But then the newer ones from L322 onwards all seem to be far more 'electronic' than even the P38 is - so who knows!

Thanks a lot for your help guys I'm going to try a new battery as the windows started work on the drivers side But the front door locks have stopped and I can't open the passenger door now like it's dead locked or something
