Your sure your cables are OK and not rusted up inside...also reseating the window in the clamps can help..

the bits i could see looked in good order but i supose the could be, butm the motor getting pretty hot seems like a sign to me, the crappy weather round here tho is putting the job off for now..

crikey just looking at them they seem a lot pricey ( £38-£80+each never mind inside as well) for what they are don't they, has anyone used any universal rubbers that's worked and look ok?..

had this on my passenger side , I put the window down, used a tooth brush with some washing up liquid and gave the rubber a good clean, worked a treat as I noticed green mildew on the inside of the rubbers

finished off with white spirit and a rag to get everything off

hopefully it may be something as simple as this and just wished to share my own experience with the window operating slowly

Yup those rubbers are expensive for an old hippo...my motor gets hot too...I just presumed it was normal...I also cleaned out the insides of the rubbers...
I found reseating the window in the clamps helped loads..

I've sat under a patio umbrella in the past changing my track rod ends.
