window ecu/air con

Hi all, can somebody please tell me where exactly the window lift ecu is situated? I've dropped the glove box out but nothing is obvious where the little critter is. Also my air con is not working i've checked the obvious i.e fuses but when the switch is operated neither the switch light comes on or the engine starts to labour a little. Help anyone
