1990 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY TURBO DIESEL BRONZE on eBay Land Rover Range Rover, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 280134529171, end time 22-Jul-07 19:04:53 BST)

removing and rebuilding the engine over the winter changing turbo manifolds etc and then fittng it into me 90t/d. now then, iwould then like to put me spare t/d lump in the disco and cut the fook out of the rest of it so its shorter at both ends and just bashing around the fields and a few off road sites near here.
so will a t/d lump go in a disco?
cheers, tom:)

Have you been to see it and had it running? I'd be wary given that the bloke says the injector pump is knackered could be a cover for other engine problems. Having said that if it's cheap enough there are some useful bits on it you could sell. As for putting the td lump in a disco!! Why bother when you can get a good running tdi disco that's failed the MOT on rust etc for under 500 quid:confused:

i have been to see it, not as bad as you would expect for a dog from the bay. engine sounds sweet but just lots of smoke untill 1500 rpm.

spoke to me local breaker aswell. good take off injection pump and turbo manifolds and oil pipes (to make it fit 90) all comes to £75+vat. £50 for pump+ 25 for manifolds etc.
:D sorted

not sure yet. if i realisticly think i can actuaaly put the td lump in i'll keep it, if not i'll take it down the breakers minus tdi lump and get a credit note for couple hundred quid
