Will they open it back up?

Well it's the 10th tomorrow and DCC said it would re-open stanage but will they?
One of my favourite lanes in the peaks.

From Wednesday 11 July there will be limited access to the Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT) route at Long Causeway, Stanage Edge.

The width of the route is being restricted by Derbyshire County Council to prevent further damage to a retaining wall.

Vehicles over 1.5 metres wide will not be able to use the route, between Dennis Knoll in Derbyshire and Redmires Reservoirs in Sheffield, until 10 January 2013.

Barriers will be erected at each end of the route to control access.

The council will be carrying out a survey to assess the condition of the wall.

Good question... anyone local able to take a drive out?

Glad we didn't bother then (we were going to look but it was dark when we'd got to that stage and I was a bit dead (vehicle wise))

Hope they open it soon though
