Will a 200 tdi Fuel Injection pump work on a 300

Afternoon everyone. Can you settle a dispute? I was sent a 200 tdi FIP in error by a merchant on the Bay of E. He is telling me it will work on my 300, his mechanic says so etc, etc. Is this true?

not properly ,they are both the same type of pump are set and timed different,people say theyve had them running reasonable but imo you want the 300 pump for the 300

Cheers Jamesmartin.. I thought as much. This seller has provided me with one pump that didn't work and two of the wrong model.
