Have a 2003 3td range rover when I lift of accelerator pedal while driving I get a whining noise put foot down it goes anybody any ideas what it may be thanks

Look at differential spigot bearings.

That'll be pilot whine! Quite popular with RR machine's due to their build quality!! Never really stops..
