hey guys.
i have an old 1990 110 that was converted from the old 4C to a 300tdi by the previous owner, he also fitted what i think is a disco rear axel as it has disc breaks.it has recently developed o few problems pretty much at the same time, the first being a very audible clunk when coming off throttle too sharply both at high and lower speeds, also at lower speeds this clunk is occasionally accompanied by ''clangy'' tapping/knocking sound from towards the rear of the wagon. theres also an ever increasing whine that occurs in engine breaking in 3rd and 4th gear, and is starting to happen in 2nd also, this stops when i throttle on again or engage the clutch. third and finally there is also a slowly worsening vibration that occurs at about 60 mph and above on the motorway and at lower speeds with the clutch depressed in a free run up to a roundabout say. i know theres a good chunk up there but any help on any of the issues will be much appreciated cheers, dave
