Which thread !!!

I have just had my 94 300Tdi Mot'd and I need a new trackrod end for the front near side. I'm told there are 2 of them,but its the one that at the other end is attached to the steering box. Can anyone tell me if its left hand thread I need or right hand thread.

i asked the same question when i whent to paddocks one day and was told it could be L/H or R/H thread because it can be fitted both ways (a fender has one of the joints in the steering box drop arm)

OOh thats thrown me. Looks like I may have to buy both and send the unused one back then. Ta anyway.
