i've had enough of my headers to downpipe gaskets blowing, it's only knackered studs but it's a good excuse to bin em :D so what do you lot reckon? any reccomendations on what to fit and where to get it? on a late 3.9 ;)

Bite the bullet, new studs and make sure the mating surface are square, new gaskets and exhaust sealing paste and torque the nuts up to spec.

Or do as i did on on my RRC and got the lot welded together. Job done :)

janspeed every time very nice note and fits very well, use headman headers as very good on price

Got a Full RimmerBros system and Manifolds on the Defender and it sounds fantastic. Not stupidly loud, just a really nice note. Fitted well too and was a good price imo.

Have a listen:

Anyone tried Vortex exhausts, or MIJ performance. I have had a quote from Rainham wheels and tyres in Essex who will fit a stainless system for £425 quid.

if you are using fannymolds don't they get hot and smelly fast?

not going to mention the smell of tuna I get in the cab

here is mine (3.9) although it has a small hole in the Y section causing it to pop on over run. unknown tubular fannymolds and Y section with a custom built 2.5 inch single centre box system on my 110. camera not picked up the bass of the system sadly :(

had a bit of a look around, janspeed no longer available for a rr classic
the rimmer one seems good on price £480 for an lse system and fanny moulds
what's the build quality like on em? are they a bit man in a shed or ok??

it does sound good and good on price but the only problem with the rimmer ones is no cats, i'd prefer to keep cats of some kind if i can.
i'll have to look into it, i had to weld my downpipes up after last weeks laning so they probably won't last much longer and at £850 just for oe downpipes  i'd rather do the whole system
