Which oil for my gearbox

Hi Guys,

I have another thread running at the moment to which I have not responded as talking to the trader.

But now another question has come up which oil to put in the gearbox?

95 P38 diesel manual.

In the hand book it says ATF Dexron IID,
On the RAVA maintainance section it says: texaco MTF 94
and written on a sheet of paper amoungst the service history: 80s (5?) doT2.

Or are they alll the same, I have done a search to no avail.

Help appreciated as I thought I would do an oil change.

Making good progress with the car so far.

Think it's an either or situation. ATF will be red, MTF will be clear take your pick.

the r380 gearbox origanally uses mtf oil, the only people who give an alternative is aftermarket retailers. although the early rave cd said to use atf, only changed on the later rave cds

. i used mtf fully synthetic when i changed mine, might aswel use the best given the problems the 380 can suffer.
