Which head gasket to order - 1,2,3 or no hole?

My 200Tdi needs a new head gasket but I have been offered a choice of 4 or 5. How do I find out what thickness and/or how many holes in the gasket are needed so I can order one (elring seems the way to go) - does the head have to come off first?

There will be a tab sticking out from your old gasket with holes in identifying thickness. Vac pump side of engine I think.
Most just use the thickest for convenience.

inbetween 3 and 4 injectors

Try LEC engine components they will advise you and they are cheap supplying Elring etc
