Hi guys.

My dad has been hunting for last 35 years, his whole life is just about hunting. Some 5 years ago his team were lucky to get long version of Defender off our army. Its very old, but has aluminium body, so no rust, 2.5L petrol engine. It has served amazingly - 11 people in it, going thru forests and rivers - there is no other 4x4 which can do that. But as its very old, its nearly dead - mainly engine problems - overheating, doesnt start, fire blasts coming out exhaust. Also, feels very wobly when driving, brakes doesnt work. I would like to get my dad another one. Any ideas where should I look for? Dont need MOT, road tax, can be SORN -will be exported. Something cheap, but in running condition.

Pics of current one:

Hi Rob:
You have a 109'' Series 3 there mate not a Defender, and in all probability fitted with the standard at the time 2.25 engine, and if it's solid I'd say worth the time and effort to get going again.

Andy. :)
