hi all, my rear box is rotted out, i bought a new one from britpart, esr 3538 it will not fit my car. the new one is a tilted oblong one, which hits the lpg filler pipe. the old one is like 2 boxes joined together, one small one large, same design as the rear box on a double box setup.
any suggestions, i will put up pictures when i can.

Looking at LRcat's picture it looks like the photo you've posted & nothing like the Britpart one you show in your first post. Item 1 in this link.

Searching ESR3538 brings up some that look like the bp one & some like the one in your photograph of the actual one.
If it just fouls the LPG pipe but would fit otherwise then I'd suggest you either need to search for one like the current one - best to speak to suppliers first - or move the LPG pipe.

Britcar picture several all as ESR3538, the box shape appearing to be the difference & the prices are somewhat varied! I wonder if there has been a slight redesign of the pattern ones to simplify production & keep the cost down?

note quite, but mine is identicle to the back box on the other picture ho2
looks like ho1 is for a deisel and ho2 is for a v8 petrol
what is the part number for that back box on ho2 picture? please

Possible I'd amended my post as you were doing your answer as I'd initially put the LRcat diesel result!.
To be sure you get the right shaped box using ESR3538 you'll need to speak to the suppliers - if you use Brit-car you can go on their pics. I've used them for a number of parts & found them easy to deal with.
To use & get part numbers off LRcat just left click on the pic of your model RR, then select the appropriate section & click on the digit shown against each part might take a couple of seconds for each to show:

tried britcar, maybe because its sunday, no reply on the chat line. clicked contact us, sent an e-mail, its just been returned, tried phone number, no connection

I got my last exhaust from Land Rover, but you could always get an aftermarket stainless steel item which has smaller back boxes.

brilliant. i have been in touch with BRITCAR and they were excellent, they took a photo of the exhaust in their stock , matched my car exactly, so have ordered/paid , and should be with me tommorrow, cost £99.95 +vat plus £25 carriage, total £ 149.94, highly recommended service.
