Dip headlamps gone out and cant find the relays

Any one know where the headlamp relays are on a 1994 Disco 1 please

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Been looking through the manual and given up, cant understand the wiring diagram as it does not show headlamps.

You'd think they would make it easy like in the old days and draw some lines connecting the switch to the headlamps then one could see what was what.

There no relays in the lighting circuit of a D1 other than the one in the dim-dip system.

The wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual are easy to follow.

Found headlamps now but cant understand how such a small switch on the stalk can handle headlamps without a relay.
According to the wiring diagram the wire goes direct to the headlamp with a 'T' junction which on route which branches off to the dim dip thingy.
Also no mention of where this dim dip thing is located.

is it me:rolleyes:

I can't be doing with the 300 wiring diagrams, the 200 is SO much simpler!

Trying to suss out a modern car diagram is no fun either! :D

You want to try a '77 TVR, all the wires are black and by now all the little labels have dropped off.

I've chucked it all away and am going to start again with coloured wires.:D

All black wires?! :D

Ha ha, now that's quality epic fail engineering!

I take it they werent planning ahead for electrical repairs then... :D

I think the little labels had numbers on but couldn't tell:rolleyes:

Pugs had wires with numbers in the plastic coating it I remember right.

The Dim/Dip relay is up behind the steering column in the driver's footwell (ish)

Think that might be the fault as there is no power going to dip beams...Ta:)

.

The lack of headlamps problem was sorted by my mate Tom, A wire had broken off the switch in the stalk.
