cant tell from the pic if they're the classic 3 spoke(wont fit) or the p38 three spoke(will fit).Is it an ebay ad or similar?

the PCD, p38 wheels arent compatibel with classic hubs, diffnet nut spacing etc.If the wheels fit on then theyll be fine.

If they fit, what tyre size do I need? the wheel are 16" and the ones on the car now are 18"

Although both very very similar, there are slight differences between the two. I'm pretty sure the ones in the pic are the P38 version.
These are P38:
These are RRC:
If you look at the area around the base of the spokes the P38 ones are more radiused into the rims.
