Hello, idiot here,

I’m looking for some help with sizing of tyres (even my tyre guy doesn’t seem to know).

I have a defender 90 with daft Range Rover wheels (which I’m looking to sell btw) and I’m trying to work out if these pictured wheels would fit with no problems. I’m thinking in terms of both tyre circumference and stud pattern. People keep telling me that mine has had a lift but I really don’t know that yet.

Please have sympathy, I’m very slowly learning. Thank you

I'm making the assumption that the pic of the Defender is yours! Unless twisted used an adapter for those wheels then the stud pattern should be the same (5x165). Tyre wise best to measure your current set-up and compare to the height and width of these (H35" W12.5"). You might also need to take the off-set into consideration and work out if you need spacers (looks like you might have 30mm ones on which is standard for a twisted build) but you might need to increase these.

Doesn't look lifted to me. 15s might be a bit small for you. I'd think you'd be looking for 16s or bigger.

Ok people. Thank you for your helpful replies. I’m looking at a set of 285/75/16s.
This is apparently quite a big tyre bit will it be ok on my stock defender 90?
Help massively appreciated.

I dont see why 15" will be too small, there is more than enough rubber to compensate for that. I had a set of wheels and tyres the same size fitted to mine for a while but I had a 4" lift at the time.
If you go for the ones in the first post you will almost defiantly need arch extensions otherwise they will stick out past the body work which is illegal.
If it is not lifted (it doesn't look it form the pick but bets to measure between axle and chassis to check) I would suggest the 285/75/16 or 265/75/16, would be a better option for tyres. The reason I suggest the slightly smaller 265/75 is because at that size there is an almost endless choice available..
