Guys, just removed the old alloys from my RRC axled lightweigt and gone to swap them with disco freestyle alloys, but they dont seem to fit - they are very tight over the hub and i have to slowly tighten the nuts one by one to pull the wheel on. This doesn't seem right, but i understood taht freestyle alloys from disco 1 would fit rrc axles - anyone any ideas?, have i f*cked up big time here?

thats wot i thought, but why are they so tight? I had to use a puller juat to get the old wheels off the hubs, when i put the freestyles on they felt even tighter

Corrosion? Are you sure they're RRC axles?

as far as i can see they are RR axles,they certainly look the same. After looking more closely at the wheels i ntoiced there is a 'lip' of metal on the inside of the wheel where it fits over the drive hub,so i skimmed it off and the wheel fits on perfectly now. Sounds drastic but i only removed 1mm of material so should not affect the wheel strength,hopefully....

Can't understand why they are like this, or why they wouldn't fit on my axles without mods tho.
