What to Buy Freelander 2 orRange Rover Evoque

Selling my 04 Freelander 1 205k & looking at the options of either a 2012 LR 2 or a RR Evoque, I tow a 17ft van & would like an opinion from fellow members which way to go. Australia has long hot distances to travel & we need vehicles which to this. We have a lot of Japanese & Korean vehicles but not a fan of them.

what to buy...another gaylander or an ejoque...neither . just ejoquing....lol .

Same engine/ transmission/ running gear, evoque is a bit lighter, so whichever you find more comfortable

Get an auto if doing a lot of towing as it's betterer. If it were me I would go for the FL2. They seem to have a betterer layout and use of space inside. Similar size vehicle to Evoque but with a cheaper price tag.

The FL2 is a bit bigger the coupe is a bit cramped inside.

What did yer buy in the end?

'if you want to go into the outback drive a Land Rover, if you want to come back again drive a Land Cruiser'

Just my opinion, but I hate the lowered roofline at the rear of the evoque. The FL2 is much better proportioned and looks like a Land Rover.
