Think I need to replace the rad / oil cooler on the Defender (200 TDi). Found this on the 'bay, what do you guys reckon ?

Land Rover Defender 200tdi Radiator & Oil Cooler BTP1823S

Also looking at the AliSport ones, but they're a bit pricey  and looks like you need their intercooler too - £900 inc the VAT (!) so that's out. Anything else out there worth looking at ? Worth looking at OE spec or are they privy to Landy tax ?

Cheers !

I got a brass/copper one made up by local radiator shop for less than the price of the offerings from brands of dubious quality.

Try Sussex Radiators in Crawley, if they're still there. They used to do that sort of thing when I was down that way.

If you've got the original brass rad, get it recored, slightly priceyer than a plastic aftermarket one but loads better.

Unfortunately not....had another look at Allisport and they're 'standard' alloy rad works out to £450 inc VAT. FAR from cheap, but I can't be done with messing about with it time after time so would rather do it once and forget about it.

Views ? Standard Britpart effort is about £90 but not sure I want to go down that route....

If time off road is not an issue, do as flossie suggests and get the copper original one refurbished. I have used one as per your photograph/link and had no issues with it but I would not expect it to last as long as a good copper original rad.

Maybe I will put a Britpart on and see how I go....I'd really prefer an OE copper / brass one and get it recored but finding one is like trying to find Yeti poop....
