I found these in the workshop where I rebuilt my series the other day. They were in one of the trays that I put bits in as I took them off.

What were they originally for? I managed to get the vehicle back together without needing them.

For an idea of size, the holes are all around 6 - 8mm.

Thanks for any replies.

The R/H one could be the bracket that holds the throttle linkage in place at the side of the carb. Not sure about other one, but probably good for a wardrobe.

The workshop I rebuilt the series in was completely empty when I started, so anything in there must have come off the Land Rover.

I'm sure I have seen the LH bracket somewhere in the engine bay of another Land Rover, but can't place it.

My Series is a diesel so the RH one wouldn't have come from a carb on that vehicle.

The Rh one is off the horn.single hole fits the horn centre bolt other holes bolt it to front slam panel.
Page 11 of optional parts book section 3 pdf version shows a horn bracket similiar to the LH one.
Also shows one like the RH one but offset shape.
I removed one like your RH one last year as I relocated my horn to centre section of slam panel.
Must have binned it as not with my other surplus bits.
