Series 2 What’s this I have here?

Can anyone identify this item? I finally opened the box that TPO gave me along with the landy in 2017. Two of these in britpart boxes without part numbers.

Single leading shoe brake cylinder, so if its a LWB these will be the rears.

It’s a swb, found he put some shoes in too, along with hub oil. I guess I’ll get around to doing all the oils soon

Cylinder should have a size on it depending what the size is where it fits .
11/4" Front 1" rear if you use it worth popping seals out checking no swarf and greasing seals with red brake grease.
Some of them are handed too ie position of brake pipe inlet.

Good point, look very carefully down the ports to look at the shape at the bottom. Also check the threads - it could be metric or imperial. Its posible they weren't fitted because they were the wrong threads. Get an imperial or metric pipe nibble - very cheap and see if it fits, that will decide it.
