Freelander 2 (LR2) wet front carpets..

.. think this could be adding to my freezer fog air vents so I need to find where it is coming from. Is on both sides so a bit stumped. Any ideas? Only noticed it when out with the vacuum. Didn't think it was wet as such until I seen half a cup of water in the vacuum.... no it's not a wet one lol..

Air on drain is the most likely source, either not routed out of the car or blocked, or even not there

hmm not sure pulled the carpet last night all looked ok, blew the compressor through it and all seemed clear, i then checked the ground which had what looked to be a nearly dry large puddle. oh and the carpets are now mildly damp rather than wet..
so what i am thinking - there was a block and its now gone or has anyone seen the drain tray? i am thinking it could be very shallow with the heating element in it and the drain off to the rear. Our drive way has a small hill and water only came out when parked up?

Where is the carpet actually wet? On bulkhead, on floor under front seat, or just in front of that?

Wet on the flat where your feet go and damp on tunnel sides... I will keep an eye and update. Btw I have removed the rubber mats the wife liked.....hiding and holding wet, for how long I don't know.
