As above (hope I've posted this in the right section),

I have an hole in my passenger side footwell (see pics below)

I have a replacement footwell (which can be cut up to suit).

I also have a MIG welder a mate has lent me, I just need an operator .

I also have a grinder, but lost the spanner thing :doh:

I have never welded before otherwise I'd do it myself, but MOT is looming :(

I will pay beer tokens etc...I'm just off Junc 27 of the M1.

Oh, there MIGHT also be some work in the battery box area as well, but I'm trying to get a panel fabricated up as I'm on a tight budget.

(If it's done on a Saturday as well there will be a free supply of bacon cobs :D )

i might be able to help you out there, wouldnt mind taking a look at it first though. i wouldnt be able to do anything for 10 days

i could do it but me insurance as just been canceled on the friggin car shame yer not over my way i could ave done it tomorrow got loadz a sheet metal aswell

I reckon it could be patched using the new footwell, but I'll let you decide.

I'm trying to get a new battery box fabricated as I really can't justify spending £70 on an aluminium one), so hopefully will have that done within the next 10 days.

Would you advise on a mild steel one or could I poss use galv. steel?

I would like to take a look and maybe fab something up.
What is it series or a defender?
 
I may get chance in the week.

Ive got a 90 my self, i take it the battery box has corroded??
 
I heard it sailed through the MOT Gonzo?

Looks like I'll have mine sorted next week (there is a possibility of it even being done tomorrow!)
