D90_Open Sides With Net.jpg

Spotted this Defender with, what I would call, webbing on the sides of the frames - see pic. Any idea where I could source these for my D90?
Thanks. T.

I don’t know where they are from, but I would make my own.

The cheapest way to get the same effect will be to purchase a roll of 50mm webbing and get a local sewing place to make it (if you can’t sew yourself).

Cheers, Mick; me and sewing are not good bed-fellows, so was looking for other options. That said, your post reminded me that I know someone with the required skills to maybe pull your suggestion off! Thanks.

No problem. Post the results with how you get on.

they look like tailgate webbing - popular in america on pickups to replace the tailgate to 'cut down on drag'
. might be worth googling that sort of thing

Not the best photo but I bought this webbing panel at Billing about 15-years ago from a firm called Trip-Net.
They were an Israeli company selling a whole range of webbing products and had come across just for the show and to tout their products around (it had a major draw on traders back then). Wasn't designed for the rear of the 90 but fitted perfectly and of course is adjustable and instantly undone by QD buckles. Didn't feel the need for side ones so didn't look to see if they had anything that would fit but am sure they would of as they had a whole range of gear.
Has proved itself to be well made and wouldn't be without it, means I can load up the rear and not worry about anything falling out without having to drop the rear.

Have a feeling the someone like Devon took on the franchise?
