A up all,

anyone fitted the above to their Defender with a pre td5 engine?

I have been thinking of fitting one to my 19j (2.5TD 90) to aid winter starting. It does start well from cold considering the age but I wold like to just help it along that bit more when its really cold.

I have been researching the fitting of this heater for a while but there's nothing which directly helps me with regards to my engine-fitting,plumbing or electrics.

Any ideas welcome.

Cheers.

Geeze, thats not cheap, unless your really attached to the 19J, a 200TDI conversion would be cheaper!!
Shouldnt think that installing would be too hard, theres plenty of space in the 19J engine bay.
If you go through the muddy stuff, Id try to get it as high as possible, dont know how long the water lines can be, because I'd possibly think about the drivers seat box as an option.
Im thinking of finding a block heater for my 300TDI, or the kenlowe version, as I have a drive so I can plug it in, its not often Im away at night.
